Laura Elizarraras

Pronouns: they- she - he

Laura is a self-taught digital media artist who also dabbles in traditional painting, mixed media, videography, and photography. Their inspiration comes from her experience as a femme qtpoc - queer trans person of color. Laura is a non-binary, first-generation Xicanx, whose parents and family migrated from Michoacán, Mexico.

Their art often visualizes people in his community in magical and whimsical worlds while integrating cultural references. Laura's subjects are often portrayed in space and galaxies, in aesthetically pleasing manners to showcase the ethereal energies eminating from qtpoc folx in an effort to combat violent representations of people in his community.

Laura also does commission-based work for individuals and other businesses which mostly consists of Bratz logos/portraits and airbrush styled logos. Their aesthetic is reminiscent of y2k styles as she explores and reconnects to his childhood.
